Police: Pit Bulls Ordered To Be Euthanized Missing

WATERVILLE, Maine (WMTW) Two dogs ordered to be euthanized by the Maine Supreme Court are missing, Waterville police said.

The dogs were reported missing on Tuesday, the same day the Supreme Court denied a Winslow woman’s request to overturn the order to euthanize the dogs.

A judge ordered Danielle Jones to put the dogs down last fall.

Police said Jones reported the dogs missing after she was allowed by the Waterville Area Humane Society to take them for a walk.

Police said they have been unable to reach Jones since the dogs were reported missing.

The dogs have been held at the animal shelter since they were ordered to be put down.
